All
these soaps, lotions, powders, bath salts, and other
skin care products are made by hand. Only natural ingredients
are used, such as pure essential oils; No
synthetic fragrances or chemicals are ever added. The
hand made soaps and skin care products that we have on this
site are ones that we use ourselves.
These
soaps, lotions, and skin care products are ideal for people who
are sensitive to brand-name soaps, etc. containing synthetic fragrances
and other irritating man-made chemicals. We
have friends and relatives with Multiple Chemical Sensitivities
(MCS) and other perfume allergies, so we need to be careful what
kind of
skin care products that we use, so as not to aggravate
their overwhelmed immune systems when we're around them. To help
others in like situations, or
those who simply for health or environmental reasons want
a more natural product, we are sharing what we have found and
are delighted
with.
We
hope you enjoy the clean, pure pleasure of these all-natural
luxurious handmade soaps and skin care products as much
as we do! Just wait
until you see how good your skin feels after using an all
natural product!
About
us and Our Hand-made Soap Products
We
have been in business here for 16 years. We strive to bring our
customers the very best products possible. It sounds odd, but
we started building air
purifiers for those with allergies, like myself. Through
the years we have had customers ask about all natural soaps
and skin care products without
artificial scents added to them.
We
manufacture high quality natural hand crafted soaps in small batches,
therefore slight variations in color, size, and shape may occur.
Our soaps contain no chemicals to preserve them. All colors are
natural. We do not remove the natural glycerin and humectants inherent
in our soap. We make old fashion lye soap which is carefully made
with quality selected oils. When the oil and lye mixtures are mixed,
they have to go through a chemical change called saponification
and this usually takes 2 to 6 weeks to take place. There is a lot
of work that goes into making each and every bar. This is why many
hand crafted soap makers refer to them as their babies, because
each one is a work of art. We are a family owned business and we
make these soaps to be used and enjoyed. They are gentle enough
even for a baby's delicate skin. We just hope you enjoy them as
much as we enjoy making them.
All
of our products are handmade in our commercial kitchen and
do not contain any petroleum products, such as mineral oil. (Mineral
oil
is known to clog pores and really doesn't moisturize.) We only
use cosmetic-grade quality ingredients that absorb into the skin,
leaving
velvety soft skin. We carefully select the raw materials in our
formulas for their nourishing and therapeutic properties. We
put
our heart into each batch and we are confident you will love the
difference. Essential oils are added to make the products appeal
to your senses.
They
are handmade by family run businesses, right here in the Ozark mountains.
One family has been making handmade soap for 10 years and the other
for 7. They are good people who care about the products and the people
who use them.
Pure
essential oils are often times preferred because of their
non-allergenic and many medicinal
properties. We
have stayed away from colorings, unless they are herbal. Our
products are as gentle to the skin as they are to the environment.
Why
Use Natural Handmade Soaps, etc.
Our
skin needs tender loving care as it quickly ages. We need to start
when we are young, but often times we don't start taking care of
ourselves until we see unwanted aging signs. Cleansing our skin
is the first step in helping our skin to breathe naturally and helping
it to rejuvenate itself. You need to know exactly what you put on
your skin, because your skin absorbs everything. Why not treat yourself! All
vegetarian!!!
